Papers of the Blaine family [manuscript], 1810-1824.

The papers contain letters of Richard Perkins to Nathan Blain[e] and two slave bills of sale. In the letters, 1822 December 21 and 1824 June 20, Perkins discusses a trip, the theft of his horse, economic prospects, crops, and the illness of "Betty." Slave bills of sale are from Henry Martin, 1810 January 3, for "Nancy" and from William B. Harris of Albemarle County, Va., 1822 November 14, for "Sam," "Patsy," and "Charlotte."
